This was the first EYMPC retreat I have attended. I had taken a few of their classes, which inspired me to book this retreat. It was hosted at the beautiful Kairos Centre, set in the leafy surroundings of Roehampton.
The Retreat was well organised by Ania, Bob, John and Lisa. When we arrived at Kairos, the check-in was seamless. The food was outstanding — we were offered a vegetarian starter, main, and dessert. The staff were so kind, helpful and genuine.
The facilitation was outstanding. Whether you’re brand new to workshops or already experienced, Bob, John and Lisa curated the Literature, Philosophy, Yoga and Meditation workshop material in a beautiful way. I learnt so much from all of them, and my body was so happy to move in the Yoga practice. The energy was truly transformative, being in a space with people who have been on the journey for many, many years.
It’s hard to cover an entire weekend in one paragraph, but the key takeaways from the ‘Know Thyself’ Retreat 2025 are to surrender, to be in the present — the past is gone and the future is not here yet — to flow, and to make time for silence.
This workshops were so powerful that I have implemented moments of silence in my morning and evening rituals. The way it is designed allows for mind, body and soul transformation.
I would highly recommend this Retreat — which they are running yearly (17-19 July next year) — to anyone who wants to deepen their spirituality in meaningful ways, inspired by the incredible work of Shakespeare, Plato, Socrates, the Yoga Sutras, The Gita and other holy books and philosophers – don’t hesitate to book it’s life changing.
Thank you, Ania, Bob, John and Lisa, for putting together this retreat and sharing your knowledge.
